Oh, the places we've been! Our adventure map highlights all the places we've visited and the fun experiences we've had along the way.
Camping is at the heart of the Scouting experience in Troop 503. Our Scouts camp 10 months out of the year, building outdoor skills like cooking, fire safety, navigation, and teamwork while learning to be comfortable and confident in the outdoors. From weekend campouts to summer camp, every trip helps Scouts grow in independence, responsibility, and leadership.
“Adventure starts with the outdoors.”
Whether its Scouting for Food or Christmas Caroling, Troop 503 believes in giving back to our community. Scouts participate in service projects that support local organizations, help neighbors in need, and care for our environment. Through service, Scouts learn the importance of citizenship, empathy, and leadership while living the Scout Oath and Law in real, meaningful ways.
“Service builds character.”
High Adventure activities challenge Scouts to push beyond their comfort zones and discover what they are capable of achieving. Older Scouts have opportunities to participate in backpacking, climbing, canoeing, and other demanding outdoor experiences. In 2025, scouts had the opportunity to experience the Philmont Scout Ranch. In 2027, the troop will be heading out for a Sea Base adventure. These adventures build confidence, resilience, teamwork, and unforgettable memories that last a lifetime.
“Challenge creates leaders.”
